Dear EAGEN Council, Members & Supporters:
We hope you are well. The EAGEN started the year 2020 motivated and with a celebratory event for its 50th anniversary. Shortly after Covid19 was declared a pandemic and times since have changed. As stated in my earlier communication, the EAGEN moved all spring courses into the fall of 2020. Here we are, the summer is slowly leaning towards its final stretch and the EAGEN is not the only one trying to nail down a moving target.
But as promised, the aim to continue with postgraduate teaching has not been diminished and we are excited to announce the confirmed operation of 4 EAGEN postgraduate courses in October & November. The operation will be in form of a hybrid model – with a small cohort live onsite (with consideration to safety measures), while everyone else will be virtually connected on the EAGEN platform. This concept allows for live interactivity (Q&A sessions, case presentation with audience voting, quizzes with live results etc) and opens the course up to everyone interested.
We invite you to check the programs and registration directions under EVENTS on this website.
The EAGEN will start on Oct 17th in Mostar, Bosnia “Interactive, interdisciplinary management of GI diseases”, continue on Oct 31, 2020 in Yerevan, Armenia “Gastrointestinal diseases – therapeutic role of nutrition and gut microbiota modulation”, enter November with activities on Nov 6th in Belgrade, Serbia “Personalized Gastroenterohepatology – between primary care physician and gastroenterohepatologist” and conclude with the Nov 14th event in Chisinau, Moldovia “Rare diseases in Gastroenterology”.
We hope you will join us. Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all the best.
Prof. Dr. Peter Malfertheiner
